Welcoming Paloma Wool

Paloma Lanna created Paloma Wool in 2014, as an art and photography project which explored ideas and space around the act of getting dressed. Today, it's widely known as an ethical clothing and accessories label, with a strong focus of local production, artistic collaborations and women-lead teamwork.

Their latest collection, 'Friendship is Universal', was designed during COVID-19 while the Paloma Wool team were isolating at home. As the result, this collection is heavily influenced by the limited resources they had on hand, Zoom meetings, and childhood nostalgia.

Accepting quarantine as a creative challenge, and as a time to look closer into what they were doing and how to get closer to their community. This collections' pieces remain within Paloma Wool's ongoing objective of presenting new multidisciplinary artists around the world, supporting local production, sustainable manufacturing, responsible consumption, and the introduction of advanced materials and production methods working actively towards change in the environmental impacts of the fashion industry.

Two of our favourite styles, the Joey Linen Dress and the Sonia Shirt, feature Paloma Wool's Huella Print, translating to 'finger print' in Spanish. This print was developed during quarantine, while the designers were encouraged to examine their surroundings closely for inspiration. Leading them to notice the uniqueness and psychedelic features of their own fingerprints.

'Friendship is Universal' is a celebration of friendship, love, community during a time it was needed most. Click here to view the rest of their latest collection.
